Who We Are

Barossa 50's Diner (Lynda and Nick Hamilton), located at Shop 3 / 119 Murray Street, Tanunda SA 5352, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and how we handle it, consistent with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What We Collect

Apart from the anonymous usage statistics described under Analytics & Cookies below, we only collect the information you choose to give us when you fill in our enquiry form. That typically includes:

• Your name
• Your phone number and, if you provide it, your email address
• Any message you send us through the enquiry form

We don't take payment through this website, so we never collect or store card or bank details online.

How Your Information Is Sent & Used

When you submit our enquiry form, your details are sent by email to the diner's inbox using Resend (resend.com), an email-delivery service. A copy also goes to JB Digital Barossa, who built and look after this website, so they can make sure enquiries are arriving and the form is working. If the email service is ever unavailable, the form falls back to FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) to deliver the message instead. JB Digital Barossa's client dashboard also keeps a short log of each enquiry (your name, email if given, and message) so they can confirm it was delivered.

We use your information solely to reply to you and provide the service you asked for — we don't sell it or use it for unrelated marketing, and we only share it with the service providers named on this page. The website itself is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) and may set a short-lived security cookie when you send the form, to help block spam.

Some of these providers (Netlify, Resend, FormSubmit, Google and Meta, which runs Facebook) store or process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this website — for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (city or region level), what device and browser they use, and whether the call, email or enquiry-form buttons are used. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) in your browser to do this. We use these statistics only to improve the site; we don't run advertising trackers and we don't use analytics to identify you personally.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on every website with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site also shows our Facebook page and a Google Map; Facebook and Google may set their own cookies when those load, under their own privacy policies.

Enquiry forms and follow-up

When you type your email address or phone number into an enquiry or quote form on this website, we save what you have entered so far (your name, contact details and the details of your enquiry), even if you do not press send. We do this only so that Barossa 50's Diner can get in touch once to help if your enquiry was interrupted. We never save passwords or payment details. If you clear the form, or tap “Clear” under it, what you typed is deleted. If you do send the form, the unsent copy is deleted straight away. Otherwise, saved details are deleted automatically after 90 days. They are stored securely in Australia by our website provider, JB Digital Barossa, and are not sold, shared or used for marketing lists. To see or delete anything we hold about you, or to ask us not to contact you, email info@barossa50sdiner.com.au and we will action it promptly.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enquiry messages only as long as needed to respond to you and run the business, and then dispose of them securely.

Access, Correction & Deletion

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to request that we delete it. We'll action reasonable requests promptly.
