Barossa 50's Diner sits on Murray Street in the heart of Tanunda — roughly a 7-minute drive down the road — so it's an easy trip for lunch, an early dinner (we trade to 8pm Thursday to Sunday), an after-school treat or a weekend catch-up.

Step inside and you're straight into 1950s America: checkerboard floors, red vinyl booths, neon and a jukebox soundtrack. We're famous for our burgers, hot dogs and loaded fries, our butterscotch thickshakes and spider drinks, and a full ice creamery counter — plus a shelf of retro American giftware to browse. As Barossa Valley restaurants go, there's nothing else quite like it — and it's a family-friendly one, too.
